Brad Pitt has opened up about his life following his split from Angelina Jolie. Brangelina fans around the world were shocked when the 41-year-old actress filed for divorce from him on 19 September 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
During an interview with the Associated Press, the Oscar-winning actor assured he is fine though the couple are not together anymore. He said: "I'm not suicidal or something. There's still much beauty in the world and a lot of love. And a lot of love to be given. It's all right. It's just life."
Pitt admitted that he misses his children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox. He shared: "Kids are everything. Kids are your life. They're taking all the focus, as they should anyway."
When asked how he is so open lately, he replied: "I've got no secrets. I've got nothing to hide. . . . We're human and I find the human condition very interesting. If we're not talking about it, then we're not getting better."
Adding on, during a recent interview with GQ, the 53-year-old actor revealed his priority right now are the couple's children. He said: "Family first. People on their deathbeds don't talk about what they obtained or were awarded."
"They talk about their loved ones or their regretsâthat seems to be the menu. I say that as someone who's let the work take me away. Kids are so delicate. They absorb everything. They need to have their hand held and things explained. They need to be listened to. When I get in that busy work mode, I'm not hearing. I want to be better at that," Pitt added.
