It is very true that we are in an era of ever advancing technology and the possibilities are limitless. Every day a better phone is being launched or there is some artificial intelligence learning a new thing, all for the advancement of humanity. A lot of these are pivotal and will probably influence how we are going to experience our future but then again once in a blue moon, there comes something that leaves everyone entirely befuddled. "With Me" is one such development.

Mobile World Congress 2017, Barcelona till now has been a hot bed for some very interesting developments. From the re-launch of the iconic Nokia 3310 in a trendy avatar to a sneak peek into the latest devices from brands like Huwaei, Xiaomi and Oppo, the MWC has been quite eventful till now. Also, there came this new app that has raised the eyebrows of quite a few. Elrois Inc, which is a tech farm based in South Korea, has come up with an app that will allow users to take selfies even chat with their dead relatives.

How does this technological paranormal experience work? Well, a user has to get their friend and families 3D scanned allowing them to be digitally recreated when they are alive. Then with the help of the tech firm's application, which is called "With Me" you can take selfies with them even when they are not around. This, however, doesn't stop to that, the app's artificial intelligence can also simulate a conversation with these avatars to give you a pseudo feeling that you are conversing with the relative or friend, who is actually not around or has passed away.

While asked if it is a little weird and come across strange to certain people, Eun Jin Lim, Elrois' spokeswoman replied "We actually designed this for someone who has lost their family. That is for my personal experience, I had my grandmother before...and she passed away a few years ago, but I really regret that she passed away and we didn't have any pictures together. I cannot take a picture with her anymore; in that case, it would be great to use our avatars."

The verdict is still awaiting o seal the fate of this app. Will it really become the next "thing" or will it be seen as just a creepy app? All we can say right now is that it is indeed an out of the box idea.
