Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z are reportedly having a hard time raising their twins. The 35-year-old singer welcomed Sir and Rumi with the rapper on June 13.

According to a report in Hollywood Life, the couple who are also parents to five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, have hardly slept. A source told the website: "After raising Blue Ivy for five years, Beyonce really thought she had the whole parenting thing in the bag — but oh boy was she in for a shock!"

"Everything she thought she knew is out the window when it comes to twins. Beyonce knew it wouldn't be easy, and that two newborns means twice the work, but she really didn't imagine it would be THIS hard," the insider added.

"Even though they're only four months old, they already have really different personalities — Sir is super sweet, happy, and calm, while Rumi is a tiny bunch of energy and mischief. Both Beyonce and Jay have hardly slept since the twins were born, but they finally seem to be getting the babies into a routine, and they feel like things are definitely getting a little easier."

"Despite having newborn twins though, as well as a five-year-old, Beyonce and Jay are still managing to make time for each other, and their marriage is stronger than ever. Although they're completely exhausted, and it seems like life is now consumed by feedings and dirty diapers, they wouldn't change a thing," the source shared.

Beyonce had revealed that she is pregnant with twins on 1 February. The Single Ladies singer shared the first photo of her newborn twins on Instagram in July. The caption read: "Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today."
