Baahubali 2: Prabhas-starrer movie beats Dangal record in New Zealand, gets immense response in Australia

The much awaited film of 2017, Baahubali 2 (Bahubali: The Conclusion) has shattered the first weekend box office record of Dangala and has made brilliant collections at the New Zealand box office in just two days. Reports said the movie has also seen a huge leap in Australia on Saturday.

Australia and New Zealand are among the potential international markets for Hindi movies and there was a huge demand for Baahubali 2 in these countries. After getting immense response from the fans of these two countries, the distributors released Baahubali 2 in a record number of screens in both the countries.

In two days, Baahubali 2 has collected NZ$ 200,180 at the New Zealand box office. The Prabhas and Rana Daggubati-starrer movie has smashed the record of superstar Aamir Khan's blockbuster movie Dangal, which grossed NZ$ 188,732 in the country in its opening weekend.

Baahubali 2 received a superb amount of hype as the makers worked very hard while promoting the film. Based on its promotion, people were very sure about the magnitude of its opening day business.

The magnum-opus project, which has gained a lot of attention across the globe, was one of the most anticipated films of 2017 as the fans were eagerly waiting to know why 'Kattappa killed Baahubali' in the prequel. Baahubali 2-The Conclusion is an epic fantasy, produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner Arka Media Works.

Baahubali 2 has been released in over 8,000 screens in four languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The film stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser and Sathyaraj in important characters.
