Overview

Arsenal registered a narrow 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day. Arsene Wenger gave Olivier Giroud his first Premier League start of the season and the Frenchman was rewarded when his compatriot headed the only goal of the match.

The Gunners will be looking for another win when they face Crystal Palace on Sunday. The north London side will be hoping to start the new calendar year on a positive note with all three points against the Eagles.

Palace, on the other hand, will be looking to put a disappointing end of 2016. They decided to art ways with Alan Pardew and replaced him with former England manager, Sam Allardyce. Under the new guidance, they started with a 1-1 draw against Watford.

The visitors will be hoping to start fresh in 2017 and a victory over Arsenal will be a massive boost for their upcoming fixtures during the busy period in January.
