Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce reason is out: Actress is happy that estranged husband admitted his fault

The Fight Club actor himself admitted that even before he met Jolie, the actor was either getting drunk or smoking weed at any given time and as years passed by, his addiction to alcohol worsened

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt divorce was one of the most talked about celebrity news of 2016, but the reason behind the spilt of the Hollywood power couple was not known.

At first, it was reported that Pitt allegedly had a scuffle with his son on the jet but a source close to Jolie mentioned that his outburst was because of alcohol.

According to inquistr, last month, the Fight Club actor himself admitted that even before he met Jolie, the actor was either getting drunk or smoking weed at any given time and as years passed by, his addiction to alcohol worsened.

The actress' sudden decision to file for divorce is presumably because of Pitt's drinking habit which bothered the actress and her children. After Jolie filed for divorce, Pitt decided to clean his act up and now they are in much better position.

An insider said, "Angelina [Jolie] and Brad [Pitt] have a long way to go still, but they are definitely in a much better place now than they were even a few months back."

The source further added, "Angie really appreciated Brad publicly admitting that his drinking had become out of control — she felt vindicated by that—and she says that since he's quit alcohol, and been regularly undergoing therapy, he's a changed man. Brad is so much less angry all the time, he's more reasonable and willing to listen."

It makes sense why Jolie wanted the full custody of all the six children she shares with Pitt as she simply didn't want the children to be around a man addicted to alcohol so much.

As Pitt confessed that he is seeing a therapist and admitting that he's completely sober, the tension between him and his soon to be ex-wife have eased a little. However, it is hard to say whether they'll get back together or not.
