There is no official confirmation on how big the file size is going to be, so make sure that your battery is fully charged before clicking on the update. This OS update is expected to bring several new improvements and upgrade battery-efficient features, the users can avail the December 2016 Android security patches with this download.

Some of the features that the users are going to get through this update are the ability to run two different apps on the display screen through its multi-window mode and also the App-Quick switch that lets you shift between the app you are currently on and the last app you used before that.

If you are someone who has conversations via emojis or likes to use a lot of them, this update will bring support for about 1500 emojis as well as introduces 72 new ones, which has in them the Unicode 9.0 supporting gender equality emoticons.

Users will also be able to keep a check on their data usage through the data saver feature which lets you restrict background apps from siphoning off from your quota and the much-needed doze mode that which helps you save your battery usage by putting it to sleep when you are not using it. Users are also going to be able to handle bulk notifications by cramming all the alerts from an app into a single notification rather than having a notification coming through every minute creating a chaos and also access the settings from a side panel to make a quick tweak.

If a user is not getting any notification to update their phone software, there is no need to panic as it is being rolled out to all its users in a couple of days. However, it will be a good idea to give a tap on that "Check for update" button.
