80's band 'Culture Club' back with a bang

One of the most happening bands of 80's, led by British Song Writer Boy George along with Roy Hay, Mikey Craig, John Mass are back to rock and roll once again.

Culture club, the band behind the hits like "Karma Chameleon" and "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" will be performing in Singapore on December 11. One of the most happening clubs of 80's, headed by British Song Writer Boy George along with Roy Hay, Mikey Craig, John Mass are coming back with a bang.

The band was formed in 1981 and sold more than 50 million records with many hits in their kitty including "I Tumble 4 Ya". The band got disrupted by 1986 due to George's struggles with drug addiction and got back together with a push from Tony Gordon, the group's former band manager. They started with a kick-off performance on VH1Story tellers.

In 2011 the band continued to perform many shows and went on to create records on the billboard with their sixth album "Tribes". The Culture Club has since bagged many awards like Brit Awards for the British group, Best British Single (Karma Chameleon), and the Grammy Award for Best New Artist and was also nominated for Grammy Awards for Pop Vocal by Group or Duo. They were also nominated for Canadian Juno Award for International Album of the Year.

In the UK they amassed twelve top 40 hit singles between 1982 and 1999. In 2015, George was honored with "Ivor Novello lifetime achievement award" for his contribution to music. At 82, he debuted along with his band members with their album, "Kissing to be Clever" making him a larger than life icon.

The Culture Band will be performing at Star Theatre on December 11 with the original lineup, reuniting for the tour.

There were a lot of appraisals from the audience for their recent shows bringing back the original packaging with a powerful bang.
