Upcoming KBS2 drama 'The Best Shot,' also known as 'Hit the Top' and 'The Best Hit', will begin airing early next month. Actor Yoon Si-yoon who has a leading role in the drama recently spoke about his character.

As noted by Allkpop, the 'Flower Boys Next Door' actor recently posed for the fashion magazine 'Allure' where he opened up about his character Yoo Hyun-jae in 'The Best Shot,' a K-pop idol from '90s who travels to the present and faces trouble. It will also feature Kim Min-jae as an idol trainee named Lee Ji-hoon.

The actor talked about his inspiration for the actor he was about to essay on the small screen. He said: "I took the late Deux member Kim Sung Jae into consideration in preparing for my role. Compared to the other artists during that time, he seemed to be on a different level. He also wore stylish clothes back then. He was my favourite singer and I thought hard on 'what would it be like if he were still alive today?'"

It was earlier confirmed that Cha Tae-hyun will not only be joining the cast as an actor, playing the CEO of a small entertainment company, but will also be co-directing the 'The Best Shot' with Yoo Ho-jin. Yoo Si-yoon revealed that he was feeling the pressure of sharing screen-space and working under much more experienced stars than him.

"I do feel a bit burdened since my co-stars have been in the spotlight before. However, our goal is not specifically geared toward reaching high viewer ratings but to be the buzz in town among young people," the actor said.

Allkpop had also noted last month that Big Bang Taeyang's older brother, actor Dong Hyun-bae had also been added to the cast. He will be playing a character called MC Drill.

Even more exciting is that 'Running Man' member Lee Kwang-soo will be making a special appearance in the drama as a character called Yoon-ki. Kwang-soo is known to be good friends with Cha Tae-hyun, which led to his guest role, mentioned Blog.Asianwiki.com. Jang Hyuk & Choi Hwa-Jung will also make cameo appearances.

'The Best Shot' first airs on June 2, every Friday and Saturday at 23:00 KST.
