Xiaomi Mi6 to hit the market very soon, phone with 6GB RAM among 3 variants

Xiaomi has been steadily churning out budget phones in a bid to try to hold a solid grasp over the middle-range consumer market. Recently, the company unveiled Xiaomi Mi 5C, which is powered by their in-house Surge S1 processor and will be sold exclusively in China as of now. Meanwhile, rumours are doing rounds that Mi6 is going to be launched within the next few weeks and it's going to be a game changer giving the company an edge over its competitors.

There were speculations that Xiaomi will unveil the Mi6 during the MWC 2017, but the company quashed all the speculations and came into the stage with Mi 5C that has a 3GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and a 2,860mAh battery. They also introduced the redeveloped Redmi 4X with a Snapdragon 435 chipset on their official Weibo account. According to reports, the Mi6 will be released on April 16 this year.

The report also offers an insight into what is at offing in the new Mi6. It is going to come with a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset, which is not going to be under clocked as the rumours before had suggested. However, it does confirm another popular rumour, solidifying the belief that it is going to have a 5.2-inch LCD display with a 2.5D curved glass.

There are supposedly going to be three variants up for grabs, the basic would have a 4GB RAM with 32GB internal memory, the medium range will pack 4GB RAM with 64GB internal memory, the premium one is going to come with a ceramic body and is going to have 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal memory under its hood. The entry-level model is going to be priced at CNY 1999 and the premium one will be sold for CNY 2500.
