Xiaomi Mi Max price leaked ahead of launch; MIUI 8 to be released on May 10

Mi Max is likely to be launched at $200, which as per the configuration and market standards is extremely competitive.

Xiaomi is all set to launch its highly anticipated phablet on 10 May, it is not the only device that will be launched that day. The Chinese tech company will launch an upgrade to Mi Band and MIUI 8, a much-awaited upgrade to their custom android UI.

MIUI 8 is a complete overhaul in terms of user Interface, design and animations. It has improved gesture support and functionalities. A bundle of new applications have been introduced like Mi Note and the all new notification centre has been added.

Mi Band 2 comes with a screen now and has a round button along with the screen and can display time. Mi CEO Lei Jun was seen wearing the Mi Band in one of the events recently held in Beijing confirming the upgrade in design.

Mi has also been working on an in-house processor codenamed "Rifle". If rumours are to be believed, Rifle will also be introduced alongside the other devices. As per the specs leaked this processor may not be a high capacity processor hence would be used in midrange devices.

As for the device Mi Max, it's confirmed to be carrying a 6.4" HD screen along with 2GB ram and 16GB internal storage. It will carry a full metal body and a fingerprint sensor underneath the home button and will feature the Mi logo the back side of the body.

The highlight of Mi Max will be its 4500 mAh battery and its extremely aggressive pricing. As per the sources, it is believed that Mi Max will be launched at 1299CNY or $200, which as per the configuration and market standards is extremely competitive.
