In the popular tvN drama "Goblin" actor Lee Dong Wook is getting all the accolades for the way he is portraying the Grim Reaper and a king from the Goryeo dynasty. In the latest episode of the sensational series "Goblin", the actor looked handsome and flawless in the character of Goryeo king, that is, the past life of the grim reaper.

Allkpop quoted a production official as saying: "Lee Dong Wook is working diligently to bring forth distinct characteristics of both the reaper and king," It further added: "The upcoming 11th episode will tell the tale of the king's past which has not been told before."

The pale complexion and red lips of the actor looked perfect for the role of grim reaper. According to the sources, it was revealed that the actor Lee Dong Wook was rejected multiple times for the "Goblin" series.

Actor Lee Dong Wook has been the lead in many dramas in the past like, "A Bittersweet Life," "Blade Man", "Wild Romance," and "Bubble Gum" but the actor badly wanted to play the grim reaper part in "Goblin" and he had to convince Kim Eun Sook to allow him to play the part.

According to Soompi, the actor said on V Live: "I thought about it a lot, and I think I made the right decision, being able to show a different side of myself to everyone."

He added, "During my acting career, there's never been a character that I've particularly disliked or liked. But among those, I think the grim reaper, for many reasons, will be one that I remember for a very long time."

The popular K-drama "Goblin" is airing at 8pm KST on TvN every Friday and Saturday. On Jan. 21, it will air its 16th and the last episode.
