Overview

Watford were unlucky to suffer a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in the last fixture. Étienne Capoue's strike allowed the Hornets to take the lead, but it was late goals from Michy Batshuayi and Deigo Costa that saw the Blues seal their second win of the season.

The Brazil-born Spain international's decision to continue on the pitch was questioned by few pundits as they believe Costa should have been sent off even before he scored his goal. Following the defeat to the west London club, Watford would be looking to bounce back against the Gunners.

Arsenal are also without a win in the first two matches played in the 2016/17 season. Arsene Wenger saw his side suffer a 4-3 loss to Liverpool at the Emirates and it was followed by a goalless draw against Leicester City in the last fixture.
