In a shock to fans of Wanna One, Kang Daniel has reportedly fallen ill and had to be hospitalised. His scheduled activities have been cancelled until further notice. A fan meet event that was supposed to take place on December 6 might not take place.

On December 6, as noted by website Soompi, it was reported that Kang Daniel had high fever and felt dizzy on December 5. He went to the hospital but his health condition did not improve. The 20-year-old singer went to the hospital on the following day for further tests.

"We will be making sure that Kang Daniel gets as much rest as possible so that he has a full recover before any upcoming performances. He has received the necessary medical treatment and is currently resting in the dorms. Luckily, he has no scheduled broadcasted appearances in the immediate future," a YMC Entertainment representative said after confirming the news.

As for the fan meet event that was supposed to take place on December 6, the YMC representative said no final decision had been taken yet. "Because this will be an event where the members meet face-to-face with fans, Kang Daniel has a strong desire to at least be at the venue and greet his fans. However, his health comes first so we will be monitoring his condition before making a decision," said the representative.

Wanna One is also to attend annual end-of-the-year music programme, the SBS Gayo Daejun. As noted by Soompi, on December 5, a source from SBS said that Wanna One, EXO and BTS, are all scheduled to perform at the 2017 SBS Gayo Daejun, later this month. It was revealed that this year's "Inkigayo" winners will also attend the music programme.

Another Wanna One member is in the news today, for showing support for The Boyz band member Ju Haknyeon. On December 6, The Boyz bad held a press showcase before the release of their debut album, "The First."

On being asked whether he received any support from other "Produce 101 Season 2" contestants, Ju Haknyeon said, "Yoon Ji Sung often contacts me with supportive messages, wishing me well with practicing." He added, "I think it will feel cool when we end up meeting at the broadcasting station."
