Veteran actress Kim Young-ae passed away fighting pancreatic cancer, according to her agency, Starvillage Entertainment. She was 65.
In 2012, Young Ae underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer and was cured of the disease. However, the cancer relapsed when she started filming for KBS 2TV's "Lauren Tree Tailors." Since then, she was working as well as battling cancer.
According to Korea Herald, "She was again diagnosed with cancer, not long after she started filming 'The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop,'" her agency said.
Kim began her television career with MBC's 880-episode drama "Inspector Chief" in March, 1971. In her 46 years of acting career, she left a vast array of works which will remain memorable forever. Some the recent works of the actress include "The Moon Embracing the Sun," "Doctors," "Birth of a Beauty," and the movie, "The Attorney."
