Strong Woman Do Bong Soon's creepy masked kidnapper unveils himself, says he is plain and boring in real life

Jang Mi Kwan admitted that the mask was really creepy in fact, it looked a lot more creepier on- screen

The creepy masked kidnapper of the famous drama "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" may have scared the viewers but in real-life the actor considers himself to 'very plain and boring'. In a recent interview as cited by Soompi, the model-turned-actor Jang Mi Kwan revealed about himself and his scary character in the drama.

Since the character had his mask on, viewers were curious in the beginning to know who the man behind the mask is. In fact, the actor stated that he knows what the viewers must have felt like because even though he was playing the man behind the mask he couldn't see himself on screen and it made him too feel, if the person is really him.

Despite that, he tried to play the character with honesty. He believed that he had do a good job otherwise he can easily be replaced by any other actor because he was wearing a mask and it wouldn't be a big deal to do so.

Jang Mi Kwan admitted that the mask was really creepy, in fact, it looked a lot more creepier on- screen. The actor said, "On set, it doesn't feel real because the mask makes it hard for me to see or hear anything properly. The mask is made of silicon, and it's hard to put on, so I usually keep it on for over six hours," Soompi reported.

The character of Jang Mi Kwan, Kim Jang Hyun is so obsessed with a play called "Blue Beard and His Seven Wives" that he tries to turn it into reality. The complicated mind of the character is mainly due to his disturbed childhood which was plagued by his mother's physical abuse and also because he was rejected by the woman he confessed to.

Jang Mi Kwan mentioned that he did a lot of research for his role and watched Christian Bale in the movie 'American Psycho' to get an idea.

He concluded the interview by stating that he is just happy with the sudden attention he is receiving. "I'm happy that 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon' has become much more popular than I thought it would be," Mi Kwan said.
