A 41-year-old man was killed after falling from a construction site of a condominium development at 513 Canberra Drive on Friday in Singapore, the authorities said on Saturday. This comes as the second work-site death on Friday.

A spokesperson of the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said that the worker had been supervising a group of three as they prepared to receive a prefabricated bathroom unit for installation when he fell over the edge of the building.

MOM added that a company called Zong Yang had employed the worker. However, the main contractor for the development was Qingdao Construction (Singapore).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that they were informed about the accident at around 2 pm. Immediately, an ambulance was sent to the location, where the man was lying motionless on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to reports, both MOM and police are investigating the incident. Meanwhile, another worker was killed and 10 others were injured in an unrelated construction site accident when an uncompleted viaductto the Pan-Island Expressway collapsed on the same day.
