Singapore's Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) announced on Friday that the sustainable light art festival i Light Marina Bay will be back for its fifth edition from Mar 3 to Mar 26.

The 2017 edition will introduce three-themed festival hubs for the visitors along with 20 light art installations with the theme "Light and Nature", for the first time. URA said the installations are aimed at getting the public to "consider the relationship of light with nature and the city and how light reconciles the push and pull between the constructed and the natural."

According to URA, five of the 20 installations are designed by students from the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore University of Technology and Design, LASALLE College of the Arts and Raffles College of Higher Education.

The Fantastical World of eco.me, the first of three hubs at the festival, is meant to promote sustainable living in Singapore. The hub that will take place at The Promontory will feature a recycling and upcycling marketplace, a kinetic energy playground, along with an urban farming showcase. Weekend visitors can also enjoy live music and workshops at the hub.

The second hub named Art Zoo will be held in Over at The Float @ Marina Bay. It is an inflatable playground set in an imaginative zoological garden. Gastrobeats, which is the third hub, will feature food options as well as live music performances at Bayfront Event Space.
