A man was found dead on the LRT tracks near Fajar station on Friday morning. According to the report, the body was spotted on the tracks after the last train in service left the platform at about 1am Friday morning. It is believed that the victim fell on the tracks and was subsequently ran over by the driverless train.

SMRT said that they had immediately alerted the police and SCDF about the body. One fire engine and one ambulance were instantly dispatched to the scene. However, the man was pronounced dead by paramedics.

SCDF also confirmed that they were informed about the body at around 1:05 am after a SMRT staff spotted it on the tracks.

Police have ordered a probe into the matter.
