SEVENTEEN's Wonwoo to skip Dream Concert 2016

The boy band is scheduled to perform at Dream Concert 2016 to be held on 4 June in Seoul.

SEVENTEEN's Wonwoo will not be able to join his boy band at Dream Concert 2016. The 19-year-old will give Asia's largest K-Pop show a miss due to health issues.

Confirming the singer's inability to perform, Pledis Entertainment stated that the member of the boy band is suffering from a severe stomach ache. The agency quoted: "It has become difficult for Seventeen's Wonwoo to attend the '2016 Dream Concert' and Seventeen's upcoming fansign event due to poor health conditions. Wonwoo felt sudden pain in his stomach in the middle of the night, and he was diagnosed with acute gastritis when we went to the hospital. He is currently in the process of recovering."

The spokesperson added: "Wonwoo insisted on fulfilling his schedule, but since his health comes first before anything else, we decided that he will not be participating in any events on his schedule until Sunday. We will do everything we can so that Wonwoo regains his health and he is able to perform in front of the fans again soon."

The thirteen-member boy band is scheduled to perform at Dream Concert 2016 to be held on 4 June at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

In a related news, SEVENTEEN's Mingyu has been selected as a special Emcee for the concert. The 19-year-old will be backing chief hosts, Super Junior's Leeteuk, actress Kim So Hyun, and actor Hong Jong Hyun, during the first part of the concert.
