Selena Gomez and The Weeknd are getting serious about their relationship. The Starboy hitmaker is apparently motivating the former Disney star in her personal and professional life.

A source told Hollywood Life: "Having Abel in her life has given Selena new found strength and confidence. She credits her fresh, sexy romance with making her feel healthier and more alive than ever before."

"Abel's experience in the industry and his own success have put him in a unique position to give her great advice on her own career decisions. Abel has really made her feel more secure about getting back in the studio and back on stage performing. Also, thanks to being on tour with him and watching his ease doing shows, Selena feels like she might be ready to get back on the road again soon too!" the insider shared.

Rumours that The Weeknd and Justin Bieber's former girlfriend are dating started after the two were seen kissing while leaving dinner at Giorgio Baldi restaurant on 10 January in Santa Monica, California. On 26 January, the two were spotted together in Florence, Italy.

Adding on, Gomez and The Weeknd made their red carpet debut at the 2017 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The 27-year-old singer kissed the 24-year-old singer on her cheeks while on the red carpet.

Meanwhile, Gomez had previously revealed that she is unhappy with the constant scrutiny about her relationship with Bieber. She told W magazine: "I'm so exhausted. I honestly am so done. I care about his health and well-being. But I can't do it anymore."

"To me it was: I'm 18, I have a boyfriend, we look cute together, we like that. Then I got my heart broken and I cared. Because people had no idea what was going on, but everywhere it was a million different things. I was kind of in a corner, banging my head against the wall. I didn't know where to go," Gomez added.
