Singer Selena Gomez is all set to release a brand new record and allegedly she is just weeks away from making the announcement for it. The singer's decision to return to the studio so soon was sudden and it reportedly came soon after she started dating The Weeknd.

According to inquisitr, before her relationship with The Weeknd, Gomez reportedly informed her family that she would take a break from work as she wants to remain on the right path after completing her rehab stint in Tennessee.

However, after The Weeknd came to her life, sources say that she feels so confident that all her worries and fears vanished. She now feels strong enough to get back to work. In fact, getting back into the studio is like a therapy for Gomez and also because she has The Weeknd by her side to guide and assist her.

A source of Hollywood Life confirms stating, "Selena will be dropping new music soon, very soon," and that the singer is expected to make an announcement very soon.

The source also mentioned, "After taking a big break from work and getting to a healthy place with life, Selena has worked hard on an amazing body of work and she is set to share it with the world."

The new album of the singer will reportedly be put out by later this year. The source also said, "She has a ton of new stuff on the way, a new album, new video and even plans to get back on the road to support the new stuff. Being alongside her incredible boyfriend Abel, who is in the middle of his tour, has inspired her to get back on stage despite her challenges during her last tour."

Fans will however have to be patient to find out the official release date as Selena Gomez herself didn't confirm it yet, but as the singles have already being announced, it's not a secret anymore that an album will follow soon.
