Samsung gears up for upcoming Bixby Voice 'global launching'

Samsung hints international release of Bixby Voice coming soon.

Samsung's Bixby Voice, which is touted to be a more intelligent assistant, is getting ready for its forthcoming global launching slated to happen anytime soon. Hints have shown the South Korean giant is now prepping the release of Bixby Voice outside of the US and South Korea.

Bixby Voice initial release in two countries through the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus has proven it is ready to take on the world. In July, Bixby Voice was launched in the US for Samsung's flagship phones with support for the English language.

According to Sam Mobile, Samsung is now gearing up for the worldwide release of Bixby Voice, taking it from the company's recent update for the Contacts app. On Friday, Samsung has added "Bixby English global launching" under the stock Contacts app's What's new section.

What is confirmed so far, the smart voice assistant supports English and Korean languages only. This means English-speaking countries will soon be able to try their hands on the newcomer.

However, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are the only devices that are likely getting Bixby Voice for now. Many Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus owners have complained that Samsung did not include it at launch for a device that comes with a massive price tag.

In the world of voice assistants, Amazon's Alexa is leading the pack with over 20,000 skills. Meanwhile, Google has Google Assistant, Microsoft has Cortana and Apple has Siri. Bixby Voice is deemed to be a great addition, not to mention it is the most improved with the addition of a voice recognition ability.
