Apart from the redesigned user interface, Android Nougat comes with more features like Dual Messenger and Samsung Pass. The Dual Messenger feature allows users to set up two accounts in an instant messenger or social networking app.

Samsung also makes the interface more stable, more efficient and faster, while the notifications system, quick settings buttons and split windows are all enhanced. Improvements on facial and iris recognition and S Pen are not applicable to the devices.

According to Google's latest data, about 12.3 per cent of qualified devices have already been updated with Android 7.0 Nougat since launch in August 2016. This means, more devices still have to get Android Nougat before Android 8.0 Oreo.
