Fourth seed Roger Federer takes on 10th seed Tomas Berdych in the Men's singles quarter-final of Miami Open 2017 at Crandon Park, Florida on Thursday.

The 18-time Grand Slam champion continued his dominance with another straight sets win, this time over Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in their fourth-round meeting on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Berdych edged past Frenchman Adrian Mannarino in straight sets to earn his place in the quarter-final.

In their last meeting at the 2017 Australian Open fourth round, Berdych was blown away 6-2, 6-4, 6-4 by Federer, who went on to beat Rafael Nadal in the final and clinch yet another Grand Slam title, shortly after coming back from knee injury. The Swiss legend's comeback run has only been more impressive since then as he romped to victory in Indian Wells, demolishing Nadal and Stan Wawrinka, enroute to the top step of the podium.

Federer has not dropped a set yet in Miami and is looking set for a sunshine double. Having beaten Berdych 17 times in 23 meetings and with the last six going in his favour, the world number six is certainly starting as favourite to progress to the semi-final.

Berdych has an uphill task and even his best game might not be enough to stop his 34-year-old opponent, who has been in rampant form, that has taken the tennis fraternity by surprise. Also, the Frenchman has not had a good start to his new season as he has suffered semi-final defeats in Doha and Rotterdam, which was followed by early exits in Dubai and Indian Wells.
