Lenovo has launched the Vibe K5 Plus in India, as reported earlier, for Rs. 8499 and India is its first launch market. The new smartphone, an upgrade to Lenovo last years online-only, A6000 series and will be available on Flipkart exclusively after 23rd March.

Refer to the specifications below:

Internal Memory2 GB RAM With 16GB ROM
SIMDual Micro SIM
Display5 Inch Full HD Touchscreen Display With 441PPI
Primary Camera13 MP Camera With LED Flash
Secondary Camera5 MP Fixed Focus Front Camera

Battery2750 MAh Battery.

This smartphone features an all metal finish and the back panel is removable which allows easy access to the battery and making it user removable. It comes in three colors – Champagne gold, Platinum silver, and graphite and will be sold through an open sale. Other good aspect of the device is that it has Dual 4G sim slot and a separate SD card slot unlike few other smartphones that offer a hybrid sim slot where users can either use a dual sim or 1 sim along with an SD card.

Lenovo has included its TheaterMax technology in the phones making it only device Lenovo K4 Note to have the TheaterMax technology that turns all your existing media and games into an immersive large screen experience boasting smooth graphics, lifelike surround sound and responsive 3D gameplay. However, Lenovo has not included AntVR headsets along with the device and it needs to be bought separately. No information about the discounts or offer on the VR headset as yet.

Over all this is a decent device but it lacks the X factor that may entice user's to buy it. As most of the competitors in and around the same price range are offering either better hardware configuration or better features for e.g. A fingerprint scanner or 3 GB ram. We strongly feel an added GB of Ram would've made things pretty exciting. Although the pricing seems decent, however in a highly sensitive market like India, this device may face tough times ahead.
