Mnet's M! Countdown is back with its weekly ratings of the K-pop artists. And, this week, Psy's 'I Luv It' has emerged as the topper overtaking WINNER. Psy's comeback song topped the charts with a score of 7843, making it his first music show win since his comeback.
The show also featured an array of comebacks that included The EastLight's 'You're My Love,' Roy Kim's 'Suddenly' and 'Ego Warning,' VIXX's 'Shangri-La,' Young Cream's 'Better Know,' and TWICE's 'Signal.'
In addition, Lovelyz, Triple H, Han Dong Geun, VARSITY, Snuper, Momoland, DIA, LABOUM, BONUSBaby, Dream Catcher, LipBubble, and Say Yes gave their performance for the big night.
M Countdown is a weekly show in the Far Eastern region that features some of the latest and most popular artists who perform live on stage.
Meanwhile, PSY's comeback album 4X2=8 is rocking the charts across the globe. The album has an array of YG artists including BIGBANG's G-Dragon and Taeyang, Epik High's Tablo, iKON's B.I and Bobby, and actress Lee Sung Kyung making their appearances. With 10 songs and two title tracks, 'I Luv it' is the single that has caught the attention of all.
4X2=8 is his eight studio album. PSY's first full-length album was 'Psy from the Psycho World!' in 2001. However, it kickstarted few controversies for its vulgar lyrics. His popularity rose in 2012 after hits like 'Gangnam Style,' 'Gentleman' and 'Hangover.' 'Gangnam Style' still holds the YouTube record for the highest number of hits. It garnered more than 800 million hits and 2.8 billion views. The song became a massive hit across the globe and PSY became an international sensation overnight—from South Korea to an international superstar. He was also hailed as the 'Viral Star of 2012.' The song topped the music charts of more than 30 countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
PSY's last album release was 'Chiljip Psy-da' which included the double lead tracks 'Daddy' and 'Napal Baji.
