Pokemon GO 1.49.2 for iOS and 0.79.2 for Android brings Halloween load screen: Here's how to install

The latest Pokemon GO update comes with support for Halloween loading screen including Generation 3 Pokemon and a Mimikyu hat on a trainer.

New Pokemon GO updates have been released on both iOS and Android devices on Sunday, October 15. While game developer Niantic Labs has not pushed the official updates yet, trainers can opt to download and install the Pokemon GO 1.49.2 IPA file for iOS and Pokemon GO 0.79.2 APK file for Android.

The update comes with support for Halloween loading screen, including Generation 3 Pokemon and a Mimikyu hat on a trainer. Apart from the official features that Niantic will deliver with the updates, Pokemon GO trainers can take advantage of the custom features that come along with modified files.

Before installing the updates, you need to download the files first. You can get Pokemon GO 1.49.2 IPA file via Mega. Meanwhile, the Pokemon GO 0.79.2 APK file is available to download via APK Mirror.

How to install Pokemon GO 1.49.2 IPA

For iOS device users, you can follow the steps below on how you can install the latest Pokemon GO update on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 1: Uninstall the Pokémon GO app from the device.

Step 2: Download the Pokémon GO 1.45.2 IPA file on your computer.

Step 3: Plug your iPhone or iPad to your computer using a USB cord.

Step 4: On your computer, launch the Cydia Impactor tool.

Step 5: Drag and drop the IPA file from its original location to the Cydia Impactor window.

Step 6: Provide your Apple ID email address and password once prompted.

Step 7: Click OK once Apple Developer Warning pops up.

Step 8: Proceed to your device's main Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management.

Step 9: Tap Trust, then Trust again to confirm.

Step 10: Once done, the new Pokémon GO app shall open.
