Pokémon GO 0.77.1 and 0.47.1 updates roll out, hint Pokémon Gen 3 release coming up

The Pokémon GO for Android and iOS on Sunday received a relatively major update that players can now download via the APK and IPA files. According to a data mine report, the new update hints the imminent release of Pokémon GO Generation 3.

The Pokémon GO 0.77.1 APK and Pokemon GO 0.47.1 IPA are now available to download on all Android and iOS phones. On top of all the bug fixes and performance updates, game developer Niantic Labs offers a couple of changes with the augmented reality mobile game.

With the new update, a confirmation dialogue now shows up when attempting to transfer a costumed Pokémon. Additionally, costumed Pokémon is no longer allowed to be transferred in groups.

For the bug fixes, Niantic solves the sporadic network errors while battling in Gyms. Also, the bug that causes a selected Pokémon from the Raid Battle lobby to reset after tapping the items button is now patched. Finally, the developer resolves the problem on Curveballs that do not register rightly.

While this seems to be a great performance update, Pokémon GO trainers have been longing for the release the next-generation Pokémon. A recent data mine unveiling new forms is suggesting that the Gen 3 release is coming close to a reveal.

Pokémon Gen 3 Deoxys and Castform have been added. Based on the mined code base, Niantic is likely launching weather-themed creatures very soon. Nevertheless, Pokémon GO trainers still have to wait for the official announcement of Niantic.
