The 89th annual Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles on 26 February. US comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will host the ceremony, which will be aired live at 8:30 pm EST on ABC. Red carpet coverage begins on ABC at 7 pm EST/4pm PST.

La La Land, Moonlight, Arrival, Manchester By The Sea, Hacksaw Ridge and Lion are set to go up against one another in the hopes of being named best picture.

Casey Affleck, Andrew Garfield, Denzel Washington, Ryan Gosling and Viggo Mortensen are in the best actor list. Meanwhile, Isabelle Huppert, Natalie Portman, Emma Stone, Ruth Negga and Meryl Streep are nominated in the best actress category. Best director nominees include Mel Gibson, Barry Jenkins, Damien Chazelle, Kenneth Lonergan and Denis Villeneuve.
