OCN's weekend slot is reportedly planned till the end of this year. Recently, the channel announced a new drama "Black" that is to air in their weekend spot is scheduled for October broadcast.

According to dramabeans, the new drama is from screenwriter Choi Ran, who also wrote popular dramas like Iljimae and God's Gift–14 Days.

The upcoming drama will be a thriller but it will also have a fair dose of romantic element. As noted by Soompi, 'Black' deals with a grim reaper, who borrows a human body and eventually falls in love with a woman. However, by falling in love he breaks the divine rules of the heavens and his memory will be erased from the memories of everyone on earth.

Undoubtedly, the upcoming drama has got an interesting plot but the fact that it is teamed up with the writer of God's Gift–14 Days is exciting the fans as well as making them worried about the ending of the drama even before it started.

Director of the said project is not yet announced but reports suggest that it will be OCN's Voice, Kim Hong-sun. Given Voice's absolutely terrifying and chilling scenes, it is obvious that if he joins Black, he will definitely bring the thrill in thriller.

After the currently airing drama, "Tunnel" ends, Clone thriller Duel will follow, the next scheduled drama is Rescue Me starring Taecyeon (Bring It On, Ghost) and Seo Ye-ji (Hwarang). After it finishes its run, Bad Guys spinoff will take its place. It seems like 2017 weekends will be quite packed by some quality thrillers.
