Legend of the Blue Sea bested 19 other dramas in terms of brand reputation, according to data from the Korean Business Research Institute

The popular Korean fantasy drama "Legend of the Blue Sea" is hitting milestones one after the other,. The drama has now bagged the first position on a drama brand reputation index.

According to Yibada, "Legend of the Blue Sea bested 19 other dramas in terms of brand reputation, according to data from the Korean Business Research Institute."

Reportedly, the list was compiled after research and with the help of various data of different South Korean dramas within the time period of Oct. 16, 2016 -Dec. 17, 2016. And, the data included production's communication, community, brand, and media exposure.

The Lee Min Ho starrer topped the drama brand reputation index for the month of December 2016. Furthermore, Legend of the Blue Sea star Lee Min Ho bagged several awards in the recently held 2016 SBS Awards Festival (SAF) Drama Awards.

In fact, the popular South Korean actor including the Best Couple Award with "Legend of the Blue Sea" co-star Jun Ji Hyun received a total of three honors.

Apart from the Best Couple Award, Lee Min Ho was also recognized with a Top 10 Stars Award, the Top Excellence Award for Genre and Fantasy Drama.

Not only that the "Legend of the Blue Sea" rose to the first place of the drama brand reputation chart, the SBS series' active fan community and several avid followers reportedly circulate online memorable scene of an episode following the release of an episode.

According to the same report as Yibada cited: "Short clips that capture some of the fantasy drama's adorable or suspenseful scenes, as released by SBS on its social networking services accounts, would also post impressive page views".

The popularity and the unconditional love for the "Legend of the Blue Sea" show is very evident from just a SBS clip from episode 13 which reached a view count of more than 2 million.
