HMD Global is once again testing the waters in the US market as Nokia 6 has been set to launch in the country early in July. The Finnish manufacturer vows to offer a new generation of US fans an affordable smartphone but of top-notch quality.

Nokia 6 is the latest flagship smartphone of HMD Global who is planning to invade the American borders starting next month. The phone will be available in Matte Black and Silver colour variants via Amazon for US$229. Other colour variants, Copper and Tempered Blue, will be available later in the summer.

In HMD Global's press statement, company vice president in the region Maurizio Angelone vows to deliver an incomparable and high-quality smartphone. "The Nokia 6 exemplifies our commitment to best-in-class performance, design, and craftsmanship", states Angelone, "and we are proud to offer American consumers a smartphone option that will not require them to sacrifice quality for cost."

Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) screen made of a Corning Gorilla Glass. It has 32 gigabytes of internal memory with a microSD card slot that supports up to 12 gigabytes. It runs on 3 gigabytes of RAM, Snapdragon 430 CPU, Adreno 505 GPU, 3,000 mAh battery, and Android 7.0 Nougat.

The main camera has 16 megapixels while the front camera has 8 megapixels. Its dual speakers have smart amplifiers with Dolby Atmos for deeper bass and crystal clear clarity. Nokia 6 supports AT&T and T-Mobile's LTE 4G networks. The phone's body is made of 6,000-series aluminium for solid performance.

HMD Global chief production officer Juho Sarvikas stresses out that the company has taken no shortcut in the process to deliver a smartphone of premium quality. It seeks to set a high bar in terms of design and primarily emphasising entertainment at the core.
