The 16th edition of the Miss Earth pageant is set to be held on 29 October at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Philippines. The theme for this year is 'Empowered to Make a Change'.

Where to Watch Live

The ceremony will be broadcast live on Star World at 7 pm PHT. The ceremony can be viewed live online on www.MissEarth.tv and rappler.com. A special telecast of the event will also be shown on ABS-CBN on 30 October, at 10 AM.

This year, close to 90 contestants from different countries are competing for Miss Earth 2016. Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong will crown the winner of this year's beauty pageant at the end of the event. The winner will also serve as the Ambassador for environmental protection campaigns worldwide, according to the official website.

Carousel's Executive Vice President and Miss Earth founder Lorraine Schuck said: "We have a busy yet meaningful schedule prepared for the delegates this year. The delegates will visit several provinces all over the Philippines and explore our ecotourism destinations.

"These are not just mere leisure activities. They will have the chance to meet with the locals and learn how these ecotourism spots are protected," she added.
