Microsoft is reportedly adding a new password reset feature to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update that will be much easier than the current system. The new update is applicable whichever log-in procedure one is accustomed to.

MSPoweruser discovered through the latest Windows Insider preview build that Microsoft is looking into streamlining account recovery for the Fall Creators Update of Windows 10. The update, accordingly, will let users retrieve a Microsoft account used to sign into Windows 10 right from the log-in screen. Whether the customer uses a password or Windows Hello to sign into a Windows-ran device, the new account recovery will be much easier for users to do without compromise security procedures.

By clicking the linked phrase "I forgot my password" right below the log-in box, a verification step will follow to validate a user's identity. The user will then be directed to verify his/her identity via third-party means, such as an app, email, or text. While this system is used in the current OS version, the update will be more direct.

For the Windows Hello user, click "Other options" to be directed to the new password change process. After the verification procedure, the user will be allowed to change the Microsoft account's password.

So far, Windows 10 Fall Creators Update has been confirmed rolling out a host of new features and changes, including My People, the user interface, OneDrive, Cortana, and battery, among many others.

Just like in every Windows update, Microsoft has always something up on its sleeve when it comes to the user interface. For the Fall Creators Update, it was confirmed that Microsoft is working on a new design language called "Fluent Design System". This will specifically give Windows 10 more fluidity and style. It is currently on select native apps of Microsoft, including Maps, Groove Music, Start, Action Centre, Taskbar, and more.

Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is slated to roll out around October and November.
