Manchester United will host West Ham United in Premier League 2016/17 clash at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils come into the match on the back of a strong performance on Wednesday which saw them crush Feyenoord 4-0 in their Europa League clash. Skipper Wayne Rooney's show would have impressed manager Jose Mourinho, who has not had a solid start with the club in the ongoing season.
Rooney opened the scoring against the Dutch side after which Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard followed suit to clinch a win. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has been struggling with injury issues, had a good outing on Thursday, much to the delight of his teammates and his manager as well.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who served a one-match domestic suspension, will also be back for the home side for Sunday's encounter. United will be hoping to make best use of a good opportunity to collect three points at Old Trafford and get closer to the top-four spot. However, Mourinho will miss Eric Bailey and Chris Smalling due to injuries.
On the other hand, West Ham have been struggling - placed at 17th spot - despite having an in-form Dimitri Payet, who has been quietly going about his business - 43 chances, more than any player this season, in the league.
The Hammers, who last won a league game in October against Sunderland in October, will have to work hard to prevent United from taking three points from the clash. Their away record - four loses from five games - also gives them little chances of stunning Mourinho's men at Old Trafford.
