LibreELEC 8.2.0 was released late in October. In less than a month, the latest maintenance release arrived which could be a good sign that Kodi 18 Leia is indeed coming very soon.

Kodi release manager Michael Kaijser recently said they have been working on Leia in the labs for about a year, and Krypton has to end no matter what. He vowed that the community will begin to hear more things about Kodi 18 Leia on a regular basis.

"For about a year already our developers have been working on the upcoming v18 release and have been backporting all fixes we deemed safe enough to v17 series," says Kaijser.

"We are certainly excited about our upcoming v18 on which we will start reporting on a regular basis quite soon."

As for now, Kaijser encourages Kodi users to update their apps to Kodi 17.6 Krypton.
