Liam Hemsworth has opened up about his relationship with Miley Cyrus. The 26-year-old Hunger Games actor and the former Disney star sparked reunion reports after the two were spotted together several times recently after breaking off their engagement in 2013.
During an interview with GQ magazine, Hemsworth talked about their relationship. He said: "I guess when I feel something, then I just feel it and I go for it. I make my decisions about what's going to make me happy, what I think is right and what I want to do — and I don't worry too much outside of that."
"Of course it was hard, man. But at the time we were going in different directions and it's just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time — we both needed that," he added.
"People will figure it out, they already have ... They're not dumb," he continued.
Previoulsy, in an interview with Elle magazine, Cyrus confessed that she thought she would die without her Disney career and Hemsworth. She said: "When I went through a really intense breakup — you know, I was engaged — and when I was with him [Hemsworth] or when I was on Disney, the thing that gave me the most anxiety was not knowing what to do with myself when Disney wasn't there to carry me anymore or if I didn't have him."
"And now I'm free of both of those things, and I'm fine. Like, I lay in bed at night by myself and I'm totally okay, and that's so much stronger than the person three years ago, who would have thought they would have died if they didn't have a boyfriend," she said.
