Lee Jin Wook sexual assault case: Actor countersues alleged victim

The actor claims that the sexual relation happened with mutual consent.

In a recent development in Lee Jin Wook's sexual assault case, the actor's agency has filed a countersuit against the alleged victim. The unnamed women reportedly filed a molestation case against the 34-year-old actor on 14 July.

Jin Wook gave a detailed explanation of the incident during his investigation at Suseo police station on 17 July. The Glass Castle actor clarified that both of them met through a common friend and had been in touch for a long time. He further claimed that the sexual encounter happened with mutual consent.

As per Soompi, the Korean-born actor has also submitted a screenshot of their conversations to the police as a proof of consensual act. Apparently, the actor is also ready for a lie detector and DNA test to be conducted at later dates.

Furthermore, the actor who dated actress Gong Hyo Jin, told the media outlet: "For the sole reason that I'm a celebrity, I think [the alleged victim] thinks lightly of making false accusations. Making a false accusation is a big crime. I'll cooperate to the best of my ability during questioning."

Adding on, Jin Wook's agency apologized to his fans for the actor's fallacious involvement in the scandal. They added: " Lee Jin Wook will be faithfully cooperating with police questioning at the Seoul Suseo police station."

Jin Wook was last seen as a male lead in MBC's Goodbye Mr Black.
