The sudden death of singer-idol Jonghyun has left the entire Korean entertainment industry in shock. Ever since the news popped up on December 18, celebrities and fans are pouring in their heartfelt condolence message for the star's family.

A statement from Jonghyun's SM Entertainment said, "We couldn't compare it to the sadness of his family that has left by their beloved son and brother. The news has left other SHINee members who have been together for a long time, and SM Entertainment's fellow artists and employees in a great state of shock and sadness. Jonghyun was the best artist who loved music and showed his best performance on stage always."

Meanwhile, the star's funeral will take place in Seoul sans shutters and fanfare. It has been reported that Jonghyun's fellow SHINee members Key, Onew, Minho and Taemin will preside the funeral as head mourners. Normally, the male head of the family presides over the memorial ceremony, however, considering Jonghyun closeness with his SHINee brothers, they have decided to pay their last respect with love and affection.

Reports of fellow SM artists cancelling all their events and activities are also reported in the local media. SHINee's Key has apparently travelled to Lisbon, Portugal for a photo shoot but rushed back to Korea after hearing the news. Fellow members and artists have already started visiting Jonghyun's family to pay their last respects.
