IU wraps up Scarlet Heart: Goryeo shooting, heads off on China tour

IU has confirmed her performance in five Chinese cities

IU is all set to head back to her music roots. The 23-year-old is over with the shoot for her upcoming drama, Scarlet Heart: Goryeo, and will be flying to China for her forthcoming concerts.

The actress has been working hard on the Korean remake of Taiwanese popular drama, Scarlet Heart, for the past five months. Confirming the culmination, her representative told Star News: "Scarlet Heart: Goryeo' completed all its filming in the early hours of July 1. IU has been traveling all around the country working hard on this drama since February."

On 1 July, the multi talented singer-actor also updated her social media with a wrap up picture of the shoot.

In addition, IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, has reportedly confirmed her performance in five Chinese cities. The concert tour is set to take off from Guangzhou on 9 July, with Changsha on the 16 July, Nanjing on the 23 July, lastly in Chongqing and Wuhan on the 30 and 31 July respectively. The reports suggest that IU's agency is considering more concert schedules and her tour is likely to extend to a few more dates.

Meanwhile, SBS's Scarlet Heart: Goryeo, which was planned to go air in September, will now be telecast from August 29. The period drama will take over the Monday-Tuesday slot, replacing 'Doctors', which is being telecast these days.

Scarlet Heart: Goryeo, is a fully pre-produced series similar to tvN's Cheese in the Trap and KBS's Descendants of the Sun.
