Overview

Gujarat Lions and Sunrisers Hyderabad will be an entertaining clash to watch as there is a lot at stake for the defending champions. However, it is a dead rubber for the Lions, who will play their last match of the 2017 Indian Premier League.

Suresh Raina's side are seventh in the table with just four wins from 13 matches. They have eight points and are four points behind sixth place Delhi Daredevils, who have also no chance of making it to the knockout stages.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are fourth in the table with 15 points and a victory would be sufficient for them to make it to the business end of the season. A defeat on Saturday will then see them depend on results elsewhere.
