Overview

The Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League will be played between the losing team of the Qualifier 1 and the winner of Eliminator. Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated two-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders in Eliminator on Wednesday.

Suresh Raina's side had a very good chance of making it to the final. However, they gave away a golden opportunity against Royal Challengers Bangalore as AB de Villiers single handedly guided Virat Kohli's side towards victory.

The winning team of the Qualifier 2 will face RCB in their own backyard for the final of the 2016 IPL. It will be the ninth edition of the IPL and should the Lions make it to the final, we will have a new champion this year.
