Infinite Challenge tops June brand reputation index

"Infinite Challenge" emerged as the top program in the June 2017 brand reputation rankings for Korean entertainment TV programs.

A total of 111 million pieces of big data were analyzed from May 1 to June 2 by the Korea Institute for Corporate Reputation based on participation, communication, media, community and audience values.

"Infinite Challenge," a variety show on MBC, topped the June index with score of 8.71 million, consisting of 2.57 million in participation index, 2.24 million in media, 1.64 million in communication, 990,837 in community and 1.25 million in audience index. The total score is up by 4.48 percent from 8.34 million in May.

In second place is the SBS program "Mom's Diary-My Ugly Duckling" with a score of 7.71 million, an increase of 72.82 percent from 4.46 million in May. The show's host, Shin Dong-yup, won the "daesang" or grand prize at the 2016 SBS Entertainment Awards as well as program of the year and excellence award in variety and talk shows.

"I Live Alone," another MBC TV program, placed third with a score of 6.4 million, up from its sixth place score of 4.99 million in May. The show features Korean celebrities who live alone.

"As a result of analyzing brand reputation rankings for entertainment programs in June of 2017, 'Infinite Challenge was ranked No. 1," said Institute Director Koo Chang-wan.
