Hit The Stage: Mnet dance show responds after being accused of unfairness

Taemin won the episode with 189 points.

Mnet's dance competition Hit The Stage received backlash following their second episode. In the latest episode, Hoya of Infinite, Taemin of SHINee, Hyoyeon of Girl's Generation and Shown U of Monsta X took over the stage and showed off their moves under the theme, Devil.

However, the second episode, which is part two of its first competition, did not go well with the viewers. Taemin won the round with 189 points by performing to his song Goodbye, which is a Korean version of his hit Japanese track Sayonara Hitori.

The show's fans felt the producers were partial with Taemin. However, they have denied the accusations. The team said: "There is no problem. The producers only present the theme. We respect the artists' choices regarding their song selection and stage performance. Taemin just expressed the devil's internal image and selected the song that would express this the best."

The source added: "Taemin and all of the other contestants have not violated any of the rules presented by 'Hit the Stage.'"
