'Harassed' Demi Lovato on Twitter rant over Nicki Minaj: It's 'part of my bipolar disorder'

Nicky Minaj posts picture from Met Gala 2016 and does not tag Demi Lovato.

American actress and singer Demi Lovato has shocked her fans by going on an intense Twitter rant with almost 36 million of her followers over the Met Gala picture feud with Nicki Minaj.

Reportedly, the 23-year-old has been getting quite a backlash about a feud between herself and singer Nicki Minaj on the pictures shared on social media by both of the celebrities.

It all started with an Instagram posting by Minaj, who forgot to tag Lovato -- or (may be) intentionally didn't-- Lovato in the red carpet picture from Met Gala 2016 held on Monday.

Not happy with Minaj's action, the 'Confident' singer contra -posted another red carpet picture of the trio hitting on Super Bass rapper for the 'side eye' .

She also snap chatted a picture imitating Minaj with the caption "When you aren't mentioned in a post but didn't do s--t to the person".

However, Lovato returned to social media and changed the caption for good. But despite her tagging everything as a 'joke', the Disney actress continued receiving counter reaction from her followers.

Apparently the singer got sick of all the negativity and busted out on Twitter with the series of tweets against the bullies.

"Sometimes there's more to the story," she began. "Sometimes there's more s**t going on than you see. Maybe you DON'T know every aspect of my life so maybe you shouldn't assume you know. *middle finger emoji*"

"Maybe my midnight rants are a part of my bipolar disorder. Can't change being crazy..But you can press unfollow," she continued.

Lovato also stated that she has been misunderstood and is being harassed by people. "I rant online because people assume they know things and their entitlement to know makes me feel obligated to defend myself," she asserted.

"Imagine the love of ur life/biggest crush finding out u spend time on the internet commenting negative shit about celebrities.. Embarrassed?".

After a while things got calmer, and the Unbroken singer tweeted her last post with a tough Good Night message.

"I'd rather annoy people with my honesty and loud opinions than stay silent and be fake as f--k. #lasttweetofthenight #goingtosleep"
