Gong Yoo is currently in Hong Kong for his fan meet on May 6. On the day before, the actor held a press conference where he spoke of his admiration for films made in Hong Kong. He also revealed his thoughts about doing nudity on-screen.

Website Allkpop reports that at the press conference, the 'Goblin' actor expressed admiration for Tony Leung Chiu-wai. He said: "I like Tony Leung Chiu-wai, so I think I'd also like to try out roles he's done. I have respect for Tony Leung Chiu Wai's acting." This prompted the question whether he would be comfortable taking on a role similar to the character of Hong Kong actor Tony Leung Chiu-wai in the 2007 Ang Lee film 'lust, Caution.'

Gong Yoo responded, "I've received this same question in Korea before, where they asked me if I wanted to try a film like 'Lust, Caution'. I think that if a production's overall message or mood is good, something like revealing scenes will not hinder it."

Gong Yoo has previously performed partial nudity for a scene in KBS2 drama 'Big,' also starring Lee Min-jung. The shot involved Shin Won-ho's character waking up from coma to find himself inhabiting the nude body of Gong Yoo's dead character. Nothing revealing was shown though.

The 'Train to Busan' actor also filmed an implied sex-scene in 'Coffee Prince' which was the role that made him a household name. However, it too featured no nudity; the actor was seen kissing Yoon Eun-hye, picking her up and heading to bed. The scene then cut away to their post-coital intimate moment.

Gong Yoo also talked about the Hong Kong film fraternity and said he had grown up seeing films starring Chow Yun-fat and Andy Lau. He also expressed interest in working in a film like the critically acclaimed 'Infernal Affairs,' saying, "I think that the 'Infernal Affairs' series is very entertaining and are a great set of movies. I think it'd be fun to try an undercover role. Does it suit me?"

Gong Yoo was recently awarded as the best actor in a drama for his performance in 'Goblin,' at the 2017 Baeksang Arts Award. His fan meet on May 6 will take place at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hall 10 at 7.30 pm, Hong Kong Time.
