Goblin sequel: Speculations afloat over Goblin second season after special episodes

Sensational K-drama 'Goblin' wrapped up after airing its final episode on Jan. 21 Saturday and bagged the highest viewership ratings beating the record of Reply 1988 series. According to Nielsen Korea the finale episode of the tvN drama surpassed its 15 percent ranking throughout the entire season. But the fans may have other reasons to celebrate.

The fantasy drama ended with a possible cliffhanger that resulted in rumours stating that there can be a second installment of the popular series. Meanwhile, the show runners decided to treat their fans with some special episodes of 'Goblin' which are slated to be aired in February. May be it's just a way to keep the fans in touch with their favourite characters of the series.

And even if it doesn't happen, fans will get to see their favorite characters on television for one last time. Reportedly, the special episodes will contain behind-the-scenes clips, blooper reels and on-set interviews with the cast members. However, the time of these special episodes has not yet been confirmed. But, reportedly it is to be broadcasted on Feb 3rd and 4th.

On Jan. 22, Sunday, the cast of "Goblin" gathered together to celebrate the success of the drama. The entire cast and crew of 'Goblin' will be heading to Thailand for their much awaited well-deserved vacation.

In other news, Goblin OST album will be released soon in the coming weeks. The album will contain all of the soundtracks featured in the tvN drama. It will also include the intro song of the drama which used to be played as the background soundtrack in important scenes. The song is titled "Round and Round" and was performed by Heize. The album will also contain a narration of Gong Yoo, a lyric book and a photo book.
