Overview

Ghana are one of the firm favourites to win the 2017 African Cup of Nations. They finished behind Ivory Coast in the previous edition as they lost to the eventual winners in the final 9-8 on penalties.

The Black Stars have a strong lineup and their attacking lineup includes captain Asamoah Gyan and the Ayew brothers, Andre and Jordan. Ghana are managed by Avram Grant and the former Chelsea manager will be hoping he can guide them to success this year.

Uganda will be hoping they can post challenge to the other top teams in Group D as they make their first appearance in the tournament since 1978, where they finished as the runners-up. They will be hoping to create an upset by beating Ghana on Tuesday.
