Overview

France made it to Round of 16 after they finished on top of Group A. Despite failing to seal three points against Switzerland, the host nation were successful in managing to clinch the top spot in the group table.

West Ham United's Dimitri Payet has been the key man for France in their attack. Didier Deschamps will be hoping the midfielder can display a similar performance in order to help his side make it to the quarter-final of the Euro 2016.

Republic of Ireland, on the other hand, sealed their berth in the last 16 of the tournament after their 1-0 victory over Italy in the final group stage fixture. They will be looking for a similar result when they take on France on Sunday.
